We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2025, at the age of 69, Melanie A. Murdock of Ogdensburg, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Melanie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melanie. Though Melanie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her sister Debra Barlett; and her parents, Frank Murdock Sr. and Ida Marion Fleming. She is survived by: her husband Craig Whitman; her children, Tori Whitman Blair and Craig Whit; her stepdaughters, Nicole Whitman, Jill Whitman Fleming and Angela Whitman Reid; and her siblings, Frank Murdock Jr., Joseph Fleming, Robin Gibbs and Bobby Joe Vandyke. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, eleven nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (627 Caroline St, Ogdensburg, NY 13669).
