He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Simmons and Theresa Simmons (Chambers); his son Dustin Bennett; and his brothers, Donald, Timothy and Rick Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Simmons Thorpe of Ogdensburg and Kristi Simmons Thorpe of Ogdensburg; his stepmother Rosemary Simmons; and his siblings, James Chambers (Sharon), Bonnie Ladouceur (Dave), Bradley Simmons (Michelle) and Darin Simmons (Jennifer). He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
