He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smith and Ethel Smith (Leake); his son Stephen Smith; and his brother Marvin Smith (Joan). He is survived by: his sons, Dale Smith, David Smith (Donna) and Joe Smith (Sabina); and his brothers, George Smith (Bonnie) and Orin Smith (Marilyn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
