It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Estella Wood of Olean, New York, who passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pockalny and Mary Krzywy Pockalny; her husbands, Joseph A. Olkosky and Keith L. Wood; her sons, Stephen and Billy Joe Olkosky; and her siblings, Caroline Fairbanks, Julie Pettit, Rose Olkosky, Helen Little, Anna Balacki, Katherine Smith, Mary Carlson, Stephen, Michael, Andrew, Peter, Creighton and Joseph.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Kathleen Covert (Terry); her granddaughter Jessica Bordoy (Joseph) of Canandaigua; her great grandchildren, Chase, Logan, Brennan and Evalina; and her niece Kathy Baldwin. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
