She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Shields and Eleanor Shields (McManamey); her sister Sandy Anderson; and her niece Stefanie Bol. She is survived by: her children, Zachary Metler of Olean and Caitlin Metler (Chris) of Ohio; her granddaughter Ryleigh Peterson of Allegany; and her siblings, Linda Bulson (Dave) of Nunica, Bonita Shields of Grand Haven, Roger Shields (Donna) of Grand Rapids and Rick Shields (Tina) of Grand Haven. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Allegany Cemetery (3467 Fortune Dr, Allegany, NY 14706).
