Louis leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Louis’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Louis will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominico Nicol and Veneranda Rossi Nicol; his wife Patricia Painter; his grandson Christopher McLaughlin; his sister Camilla Pettenati; and his son-in-law William Milligan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anne M. Milligan of Olean, Andrea M. McLaughlin (Todd) of Caneadea and Amy L. Halladay of Olean; and his grandchildren, Jared McLaughlin (Rachel) of Jacksonville, Jordan McLaughlin (Gianna) of San Diego and Chloeann Halladay of Orlando, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. - Olean (646 E State St, Olean, NY 14760). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
