It is with sadness that the passing of Mahlon L. Ramarge (Olean, New York) is shared. Mahlon, born on August 3, 1940, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Ramarge and Margaret Ackerd Ramarge; his sisters, Sharon Narby and Frances Ramarge; and his niece LuAnn Narby Reed of Emporium, PA..
He is survived by: his wife Ann Murray Ramarge; his children, Kathleen Morien (Steve) of Chesapeake, VA, Michael Ramarge (Kim) of Olean, Kristine Ring (Tim) of Olean, Karen Orcutt (Tom) of East Greenbush, Matthew Ramarge (Alison) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Kimberly Buchanan (Robert) of Olean; his grandchildren, Kyle, Kara Morien, Alyssa, Brian Ramarge, Austin, Mary, Byron, Grace Ring, Nicole, Ryan, Andrew Orcutt, Matthew, Calen Ramarge, Allie and Madelyn Buchanan; and his nephew Jim Narby. He is also survived by his loving wife, six children and fifteen grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home (3128 W State St, Olean, NY 14760). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels (202 S Union St, Olean, NY 14760).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ramarge Family Scholarship in care of the Cattaraugus County Scholarship Foundation or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
