Mary Ellen Hanbach Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Hanbach of Olean, New York, who passed away on January 8, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward C. Hanbach and Ellen C. Fleming Hanbach Sr. (Mary Ellen); her granddaughter Kristian Taylor; and her brothers-in-law, Merle Sonnleitner and Jim Baker.
She is survived by: her son Michael Lewis (Dawn); her grandchildren, Brysen, Bryan, Katlyn and Brittany; and her siblings, Joanne Sonnleitner, Jeanne Baker, Ann Hanbach, Peggy Delill (Phil), Patricia Cheeseman (Mike), Alice Allsworth (Ron), Ed Hanbach (Mercedes), John Hanbach (Sue) and Tom Hanbach (Penny). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
