Though Merwyn may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merwyn II and Dorothy Deke Brenton II; his wife Diane Haskins; and his sister Kay Book. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Brenton (William Zalot) of Portville and Ann Marie Brooks (Chris) of Lakemoor, IL.; his grandchildren, Justin, Arcade (Ryan) and Brandon; and his sister Sharon Stuart (Bob). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great nieces, and great nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. - Olean (646 E State St, Olean, NY 14760).
