He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McCarthy and Margaret Whittaker McCarthy; his wife Donna Vinehout; his daughter Pamela McCarthy; and his brothers, Rick, John, Michael and Joseph McCarthy.
He is survived by: his children, Nicole McCarthy of Oneida and David C. McCarthy of Oneida; his grandchildren, Brittany Rattray (Justin), Lucas McCarthy, Jai Williams, Jessica Strong, Dale Ortlieb and Chase Ortlieb; his great grandchildren, Eli and Cole Rattray; and his siblings, Mary McCarthy, Alan, Dennis (Sue), Kevin and Patrick McCarthy. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
