He was predeceased by : his parents, Anthony H. McCormick and Elsie Schmidtka McCormick; his wife Blanche Wickham Nelson; his sons, Douglas McCormick, James McCormick and Kenneth Nelson; and his sister Angela Granger.

He is survived by : his children, Penny LeRoy, Roger McCormick (Kim), Dennis McCormick (Linda), Richard McCormick, William McCormick, Wendy Purcell (Ron), Rose Tubbs (Bob), Eric Schmidtka, Marjorie Schmidtka, John Nelson (Beverly), Natalio McCormick, Jeremiah McCormick and Joe McCormick; his daughters-in-law, Deanna McCormick and Kathy Nelson; and his siblings, Sheila Putman, Valarie Granger, Sherry Lee Granger (Marvin) and Anthony McCormick (Deborah). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
