He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Priscilla; and his siblings, Salvatore Gotte, Yvonne "Honey" Florentino (Paul), Alfred Gotte, John Gotte II, Aline Lee (Carmen), Kenneth Gotte, Patricia Gotte and Raymond Gotte.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his daughters, Renee Welty of Chadwicks, NY, Susan Peek (Jon Rose) of Oriskany, NY and Julie Niles (Travis Niles) of Canastota, NY; his grandchildren, Stephen Welty (Helena) of Sauquoit, NY, Bryce, Curtis Niles of Canastota, NY, Deidre Sexton (Christopher) of Chadwicks, NY, Allisyn Peek of Oriskany, NY and Kendra Niles of Canastota, NY; his great grandchildren, Maxx Malone of Chadwicks, NY, Carson, Colton and Callen Welty of Sauquoit, NY; his brother Dennis Gotte (Nancy) of Rochester, NY; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Gotte of Utica, NY and Evelyn Ginney of Cicero, NY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
