With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel J. Sgarlata Jr. (Oneida, New York), who passed away on January 13, 2026 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel J. Sgarlata, and Theresa Balke Sgarlata, Sr.; his wife Darlene Caddis; his children, Heather Catello (Steven) of Durhamville, Alicia Sharon (Michael, Jr.) of Canastota, John Sgarlata (Genevieve) of Durhamville and Steven Sgarlata (Laura) of Oneida; his grandchildren, Morgan Forte, Jalen Sharon, Victoria Shepard, Avah Sharon, Madeline Sharon, Sydnee Catello, Cameron Sharon, Joseph Sgarlata and Gianna Sgarlata; his great grandchild Brynlee; and his sisters, Pam Brzezowki (Francis) of Verona and Debra Grice (Mike) of Fort Payne, Alabama. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
