Betty Jean Nelson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2025, at the age of 82, Betty Jean Nelson of Oneonta, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Betty's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Betty's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Blanche (Rockefeller) and Jerome Alfred Henninger; her sister Roberta; and her brother-in-law Myron Gage. She is survived by: her husband Bob Nelson; and her sisters, Bonnie Henninger and Kathleen Ackley (Dennis). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home (51 Dietz St, Oneonta, NY 13820). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Maryland Cemetery.
