He was predeceased by: his parents, Stiles Fairchild and Verna Fairchild (Davis); his siblings, Jack, Douglas, Stanley (Doris), Robert, Charlotte, Jean (Richard Seaman) and Ellen (Don Wood); his brothers-in-law, Peter Rasmussen and Jeff Kolka; and his daughter-in-law Pat Foley.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Rasmussen; his daughters, Lisa Linton and Jodi Wagner (Bill); his stepchildren, Kristiana Henion and Michael Foley; his grandchildren, Kevin Darrin (Katherine) and Crystal Rodriguez; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Gabriela, Ava and Jaxson; his nephew Jack Fairchild (Shannon); his great-niece Shanette Triolo (Bill); his sons-in-law, James Darrin and Edward Henion; and his siblings-in-law, June Fairchild, Margaret Rasmussen and Paul Rasmussen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bookhout Funeral Home (357 Main St, Oneonta, NY 13820). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gerald Bh Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
