He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Eckman and Fern Eckman Sr. (Sabow). He is survived by: his wife Anne Eckman of Oneonta; his sons, David Eckman of Oneonta, Peter Eckman (Ann) of Alabama and Michael Eckman (Julie); and his grandson Jacob Duffee Eckman (Kathryn) of Arizona.
