James E. Herring Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Herring of Oneonta, New York, who passed away on January 20, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Herring and Dinah Herring (Hitchcock); and his siblings, Elaine Ballard, Christine MacPherson and Tom Herring.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Utter; his children, Brian J. Herring (Jennifer) and Karen L. Bostic (Duane); and his grandchildren, Erin Herring, Ethan Herring and Jackson Ulak. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
