With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James L. Hill of Oneonta, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hill and Beatrice Hill (Germond); and his son James Hill. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Hill (Cleveland); his children, Susan (Jim Anderson), Jessica, Tom Foster, Ray (Beth Foster) and Dee (Jim Reese); and his brothers, Steven Hill and Gene Hill. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
