He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Skidmore and Mary Skidmore (Cease); his son Robert W. Skidmore, Jr.; and his sister Mary Muthig (Gene). He is survived by: his wife Linda LaMartina; his children, Vicki (James Lyall), Caryn (TJ Dwyer), Michael (Jackie Skidmore) and Jillian (Kyle Besemer); his grandchildren, Robert Lyall, Madeline Skidmore, Grace Lyall, Rachael Dwyer, Thomas Dwyer, Julia Skidmore, Scarlett Besemer and Beckett Besemer; and his pet Tobey. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, many dear friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (39 Walnut St, Oneonta, NY 13820).
