It is with sadness that the passing of Robert James Wells (Oneonta, New York) is shared. Robert, born on January 8, 1953, passed away on October 18, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert James Wells to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Wells Sr. and Adelaide Wells (Escher); and his siblings, Marilyn Gerowe, David Brandt and Geoffrey Escher Brandt.
He is survived by: his brothers, John H. Wells Jr. of Long Beach, CA, William D. Wells of Long Beach, CA and James Richard; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Michelle, Deborah, David, Rich and Aaron. He is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home (51 Dietz St, Oneonta, NY 13820). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
