We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2024, at the age of 88, Sylvester C. Lloyd III of Oneonta, New York, born in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Sylvester C. Lloyd Jr. and Marion Lloyd (Van Brakle); and his sister June Grant. He is survived by : his wife Jan Lloyd; his children, Laurie Jean Wallace Decker (Stephen), Jeffrey Lloyd and Christopher Lloyd (Natalie); and his granddaughters, Sara, Emily Wallace, Alexandria Lloyd, Savannah and Sophia Bell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Jan, Tina & I are sorry to read of Sy's passing. He will always be remembered by us & our children as one of the kindest & humblest men we've known. You both were a warm and welcoming couple when our family arrived to Otego and began to attend our local church. Sy was fun to talk with & I always walked away from our conversations feeling better for knowing him. Our kids still talk about "Mr. Bones" & how excited they were when he presented at their school! We will always remember Sy fondly.”
