He was predeceased by : his parents, Josephine Olmstead and Giles Olmstead; and his children, Joann Olmstead and David Olmstead. He is survived by : his sister Sandra; his children, Michael Thomas Olmstead and Jill Holmes; his stepchildren, John, Jr. Rynders (Amy) and Cynthia Wendt (Jeff); and his sisters, Phyllis Scordo (Don) and Linda Gonzalez. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
