He is survived by : his wife Mary; his children, Savannah and Dakota; his parents, Elizabeth (Begga) and Ronald (Acey); his brother Ronnie (Tamera); his niece Molly; his sister Edie McClone (John); his nieces and nephews, Maddie and Jake; his friend Cristina; and his former life partner Diana.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a tree be planted in his honor or a donation be made to the National Park Service.
