He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eckl and Martha Eckl (Schrader); and his siblings, Doris Hoffower (William), John Eckl (Natalie), Joan Rhoads (Augustus) and Thomas Eckl.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann Eckl (Rosenthal); his children, Denise Heinen (Neal) and Dale J. Eckl, Jr. (Kristyn); and his grandchildren, Nicole and Cassidy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
