With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James J. Ryan of Orchard Park, New York, who passed away on June 9, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary V. (Maitino); his son Phillip Ryan; his parents, Thomas Ryan and Dorothy Ryan (Hartman); and his siblings, Thomas Ryan (late Julia), Kathleen Burkett (late Donald) and Rita Costello (late John).
He is survived by: his children, Jean Maines (David), Jimmy (Cindi), Patty Keppler, Tommy and Kevin; his grandchildren, Lisa Szelagiewicz (Mike), Meg (Dan Watkins), Connor Ryan, Brittini Bender (Nick) and Shane Keppler (Jordan); and his great grandchildren, James, Camden Locklear, Easton, Hayden, Navy, Tatum Bender, Luka Ryan, Lincoln and Sage Keppler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James W. Cannan Funeral Home Inc. (3155 Orchard Park Rd #716, Orchard Park, NY 14127). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernadette's Church (5930 S Abbott Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127).
