He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Gocella and Leona Gocella (Bays); and his sister Joyce Ritz (late Bill). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Gocella (Murphy); his children, Patti Gocella (Jeff Frank), Anthony Gocella (Molly) and Rocky Gocella (Mary Ellen Oare); his grandchildren, Dominic (Emily), Roman, Jayne, Gavin, Ben, Mickey, Maggie and Jake; his great grandchildren, Carter Jayne and Eloise; and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Gocella.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Cannan Funeral Home (3155 Orchard Park Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Vianney Church (2950 Southwestern Blvd, Orchard Park, NY 14127).
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Hospice of Buffalo, also in his memory please go play catch with your kids or grandkids.
