He was predeceased by: his wife Jennie; his parents, Helen Cyrulik and Leonard Stepowski; and his sisters, Barbara Brooks (late Gordon) and Lorraine Garby (late Russell).

He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Macchia (Nicholas) and Lisa Stempowski; his grandchildren, Gillian and Stephanie Macchia; and his sister Eugenia "Jeanne" Tatarski (late William). He is also survived by nieces nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
