He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Courtney-Kavanaugh and Lawrence M. Kavanaugh Sr.; and his sibling Clare Kavanaugh. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Kavanaugh (Egan); his children, Neil, Owen and Rory Kavanaugh; and his siblings, Mary Ellen Kavanaugh, Mark Kavanaugh (Julie), Lawrence M. Kavanaugh Jr., Nell Kavanaugh, James Kavanaugh (Laura), Matthew Kavanaugh (Melinda) and Martha Kavanaugh. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.

We did business with Consumers Beverages regularly and Neil and I would speak frequently. While the conversations always started by discussing business, they always, somehow, became more about jokes and humorous stories, I am going to miss our interactions more than I can say. Neil was just a great person and a very good friend, my sincere condolences to all of his family!”
