“Peter M. Rubel always preferred to go by Pete. I had the honor of being Pete’s fiancée for the last 3 1/2 years of his beautiful life. I fell in love with Pete the first time I met him. Pete will always hold my heart. He was my best friend, my forever love and soulmate. I will miss him for the rest of my life. Pete’s intelligence, sense of humor, compassion, strength, and patience will be truly missed. It boggles my mind that one who was in perfect health could be taken away within 3 months.
