She was predeceased by: her husband John T. Doherty; and her brothers, William Spampinato (Marie "Penny"), Jack Spampinato and Vincent Spampinato (late Ronnie). She is survived by: her children, Rachel Doherty, Stephen Doherty (Megan), Paul Doherty (Christine Hannan) and Cara Spellman (late Christopher); her grandchildren, Maeve, Jack Doherty, Katherine Hannan, Nora and Thea Spellman; and her sister Agnes "Aunt Sis" Bogert (Bill). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. Mrs. Doherty was a proud member of the Church Musicians Guild.
