He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara (Lehman); and his sons, Richard and Christopher Lavelle. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Grisanti (Robert) and Jeffrey Lavelle (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Christianna, Emma, Elizabeth, Ava and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Sophia, Isabella, Mia and Joseph; and his siblings, Thomas Lavelle (Joan), Arlene Argerie, Fred Lavelle (Ellen) and Jack Lavelle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. John Xxiii Parish (1 Arcade St, Buffalo, NY 14224).
