He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Purdy and Gladys Purdy; his brothers, William, Richard and Buddy; his wife Carol Mae Slater; his children, Jack Purdy (Janet), Richard Purdy (Johanna), Kara Reddy (Tom) and Brian Purdy (Carol Ann); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Kristen, Catherine, Marie, Richard, Megan, Thomas, Lauren, Hannah and Tanner; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Mia, Jordyn and Douglas Jack. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
