It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Kaplan of Ossining, New York, born in New York, New York, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Ellen (Paise); and his son Jeffrey. He is survived by : his daughter Marla Kannel (Bill); his grandsons, Joe (Alyssa), Alex (Aubrey), Ben (Molly) and Stuart Kaplan (Angie); his great grandchildren, Morgan, Chase, Orion and Zane; his grandson David Kaplan (Todd); and his great grandchild Drew.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Lasell Village Employee Sunshine Fund (checks only, make payable to Lasell Village and write in memory of Mel Kaplan) or to a democratic candidate of your choice.
