She was predeceased by: her husband Leo F. Porter; her parents, Addie M. Ringland and James A. Ringland; and her siblings, Genevieve M. Ringland, Helen Blanche Ringland, James B. Ringland and Mary R. Hooper.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy L. Atten (Robert H.) and James Ringland Porter (Julie M.); her granddaughters, Erin E. Bejarano (Isai) and Jennifer L. Skeans (Joshua); her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Benjamin and David Bejarano; her nephew James Ringland; and her great-niece Emma Ringland.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered in Doris's memory to the Billy Graham Evangelical Association.
