He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest McDougall and Evelyn McDougall (Kirby); his siblings, Don, Bob McDougall, Dawn and Patsy; his parents-in-law, Korolyn Wallace (Roger) and Jack Thompson; and his sister-in-law Jackie.

He is survived by: his wife Karolyn "Candy" Thompson; his daughters, Cindy Lennox, Mindy Radley (Jeff) and Jackie McDougall; his stepchildren, Vinny Mistico (Courtney), Mike Mistico, Tina Mistico and Jackie Delucia (Ellen); and his brother Darrell Lemmon. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons, a great-granddaughter, and 2 more great-granddaughters.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cedmardo Campgrounds Pavillion.
