He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Dewey and Alice Dewey (Ferris); and his sister Susie Schoonmaker. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Dewey (Hermans); his children, Jennifer of Fulton, Melissa Purtell (Patrick) of Minetto, Allison Stevenson (David) of Oswego, Kevin and Jeffrey of Oswego; and his grandchildren, Rachael Purtell of Washington, DC, Jason Purtell of Oswego, Jackson Dewey of Oswego, Nicholas Dewey of Oswego and Emma Stevenson of Oswego. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
