Harold E. Butler Obituary
We announce the death of Harold E. Butler of Oswego, New York, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 98. Harold will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Harold will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Harold will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Harold’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Butler and Rose Butler; and his wife Joan Deary Butler. He is survived by: his children, David (Pamela), Brad and Ellen. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection (120 W 5th St, Oswego, NY 13126).
In lieu of flowers or cards, a donation may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Oswego.
