James C. Melfi Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James C. Melfi of Oswego, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 14, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Francis and Marie L. Melfi (Case); his wife Marjorie "Margie" Melfi; and his brother Fred T. Melfi. He is survived by: his sons, David J. Melfi (Tammy McRae) of New Haven and Joseph C. Melfi (Heather); his grandsons, Norman and Noah of Sterling; his daughter Laura M. Boyzuck (Timothy) of Oswego; his grandchildren, Tim, Tegan and Sara; his great grandchild Evelyn; and his brother Mark M. Melfi (Alice) of Oswego. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
