He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Galvin and Therese Lagoe Galvin of Oswego; his son Jerome Butler Galvin; and his siblings, Jerome Galvin, Jean Kelly and Joan FitzGibbons.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Dain Galvin; his children, Brigid Jerred (Bert), Mary Brown (Brad), Keren Greene (Christopher), Sarah Galvin (Nicholas Gentile), James P. Galvin III (Erin), John Galvin (Tanya), Patrick Galvin (Julie), Thomas Galvin (Jessica), Edward Galvin and David Galvin (Maureen); and his sister Julienne Smith. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (240 W 1st St, Oswego, NY 13126).
