He is survived by: his wife Esperanza Freire (Forero); his children, Maria Carolina Freire (Francoise), Brian Freire (Danielle) and Michael Freire; his siblings, Jose Luis Freire, Carlos Freire and Esperanza Blanco; and his grandchildren, Francesca, Adrian, Dimitri, Victor, Eliana and Esteban.
