He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Bateman and Mabel Beckwith Bateman; and his brothers, James Bateman and Gary Bateman. He is survived by : his wife Beverly; his daughters, Krissy Bailey (Stephen) of Oswego, Tammy Bateman of Oswego and Jessica Donoghue (Shawn) of Oswego; his grandchildren, Stephen Bailey, Robert Schrim, Lorin Bailey, Bella Donoghue, Jacob Bailey and Addy Donoghue; his great grandchild Hunter Bailey; and his siblings, Linda Bateman, Elana Batchelor (Mark), Diane Beshures (Don) and Dan Hall (Julie).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home (112 E 2nd St, Oswego, NY 13126). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
