We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2025, Mary Jane Groat of Oswego, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Perry and Velma Perry (Godfrey); her siblings, James Perry, Harvey Perry Jr., Frederick Perry, Kenneth Perry and Helen Newton; and her great great grandchild Ariella.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Groat Jr. of Oswego, Marie Soucy of Oswego, Kenneth Groat of Hannibal, Michael Groat of Oswego, Lee Groat of Virginia and Donna Bogawitch of Fulton; and her siblings, Daniel Perry of Syracuse and Marilyn Chapman of Oswego. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dowdle Funeral Home (154 E 4th St, Oswego, NY 13126). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
