Rita J. Herse Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita J. Herse of Oswego, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Prevost and Rose Traham Prevost; her husband C. Fred Herse of Adams, NY.; her son Lawrence E. Herse; her grandson Lawrence J. Herse; and her sisters, Lucille Prevost, Edna Acker and Dorothy Snyder.
She is survived by: her son Fred Herse (Jean) of New Haven; her daughter-in-law Sandra Sponable (Terry); her grandchildren, Zachary Herse, Alicia Gioia Hastings (Elery), Christopher Herse (Tara) of Phoenix, NY and Patrick Herse (Karyn) of Webster, NY.; and her great grandchildren, Aubree Dunsmore-Herse, Noah M Gioia, Michael Gioia, Lawrence C Herse and Joshua L Herse.
