He is survived by: his spouse Jean Loomis Parkhurst; his children, Debora A. Ryder (David) of Cicero, Roy E. Parkhurst, III of Charlotte, NC. and Ronald Parkhurst (Melissa) of Oswego; his brother Donald Parkhurst (Beverly) of Oswego; and his stepchildren, Lori Wheeler (Johnny Wright) of Fair Haven and Randal Beckwith (Kathe) of Hannibal. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
