He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Clawson and Esther Clawson; his siblings, Edwin Clawson and Marcia Clawson; and his in-laws, Gerald Allen, Debrah Baker, Earl, Geneive Baker and Fredrick Baker Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Freda Clawson; his daughters, Robin Lynn Caywood (Clete) of Easley, S. C. and Kathryn Jean King of Otisville, N. Y.; his sister Doris Knapp of Barnstable, MA.; his sister-in-law Annette Clawson of Lakewood, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Carrie Cotton (Tommy) of Piedmont, S. C., Cale Caywood (Anne) of Apex, N. C., Sarah Nembhard (Taye) of North Ogden and Zebulin King of Waterbury, CT; his great grandchild Amelia Nembhard; and his in-laws, Raymond Baker (Betsy), Darlene Allen, Saundra Hansen (Hans) and Mary Baker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
