It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Zona (Ovid, New York), who passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Armando "Mud" Zona and Elizabeth "Betty" Zona; his sisters, Barb Marone and Dora Sheldon; his nephew Michael A Zona; and his niece Dannell Mandigo.
He is survived by: his wife Kelly Hicks; his daughter Dionne Bortz (Travis) of Willard; his grandchildren, Wyatt Freelove and Emerson Bortz; and his siblings, Mike Zona of Alabama and Cheryl Mandigo (Joe Nogle) of Seneca Falls. He is also survived by his wife's extended family.
