He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Crane; and his sons, David Crane and Kevin Crane. He is survived by: his children, James, Daniel (Peggy), Andrew (Nancy), Cathy Card (Tim) and Philip Crane. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
