Matthew Basos Obituary

The family announces the passing of Matthew Basos of Owego, New York on September 9, 2026. Matthew, born on October 12, 1983, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Matthew will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Matthew by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Matthew is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Matthew’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.

He is survived by: his parents, George Basos and Linda Basos; and his children, Brian Basos and Perrin Bennett. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the VFW.
