She was predeceased by : her parents, Jack Rivenburg and Arlene Rivenburg; her son James Halala; and her close friend Hank Peters. She is survived by : her sons, Joseph Hatala and Jonathan Hatala; her grandchildren, Joseph Hatala, Jr., Sophie Hatala and Marina Hatala; her siblings, Nancy Ross, Carol Mikaze and Randy; and her sister-in-law Tonya Rivenburg. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home (15 Park St, Owego, NY 13827). A Mass was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Cemetery (3881 Waverly Rd, Owego, NY 13827).
