He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Burt and Louise Price Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Parmerton Ellis; his children, Alexandra E. Harvancik (Kevin), Peter R. Ellis and Kathryn E. Fisher (Martin); and his grandchildren, Kathryn Zukauskas, Dora Ellis, Peter K. Ellis, Ryu Ellis, Kathryn Belling, Patrick Harvancik, Alexandra Fisher and Larissa Fisher. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, beloved extended family members and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be considered for the Owego FD, the Campville FD, the Campville FP or the Stray Haven Humane Society.
